August 6

I worked again with the school children on the song mentioned before: “O Come All Ye Faithfull.” It has been a joy to teach them this song and to help them have more enthusiasm in their singing. The phrase “O come let us adore Him…” is repeated 3 times for a purpose. The reason is so each time it is sung, it can be (should be) expressed more and more emphatically.

At 4:00 p.m. this afternoon we (the men of the church…those who could come) met for prayer and then went out on “visitation”. We were able to meet up with some of the men of the church that have not been as faithful as they could be. They just need a little bit of encouragement and someone to show them someone cares for them. One of the cultural problems here in “the land of the unexpected” is that people are easily offended. It is a constant challenge to help them to see that God allows things to happen in our life to bring us closer to Father, not further away from Him.
